Fees & Rebates

Please note that fees do apply for all appointments with payment required on the day.  There is EFTPOS facilities available however we do not accept cash.  If you have any queries regarding payment or eligibility for a rebate, please call us prior to your schedule appointment. 

  1. National Disability Insurance Agency Participants:

All services in the Schedule of Fees will be charged at the NDIA set rate of $179.26 per hour the 2018-2019 NDIS Price Guide: ACT, NT, SA, WA.

  1. Private Health Cover

Private health funds cover Occupational Therapy Assessments and Consultations. Please contact your Private Health fund for the amount of your refund, if any, before your child’s first appointment. 

  1. Medicare

A Medicare rebate may apply if your child has been referred by a Paediatrician or General Practitioner who have provided your child with a Medicare Management Plan.  

3a. GP Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)

If your family GP decides your child is eligible for this plan you will receive 10 sessions for Mental Health Services such as Occupational Therapy for your child per calendar year.  

3b. Focused Psychological Strategies Plan (FPS)

If your Paediatrician determines that your child is eligible for this plan they can refer to an Occupational Therapist and your child can receive 10 sessions per calendar year. 

3c. Chronic Disease Management (formerly known as Enhance Primary Care Plan)

If your family GP determines your child eligible they will develop a Care Plan which includes a referral to an allied health provider such as an Occupational Therapist for 5 sessions per calendar year.  A chronic medical condition is one that has been (or is likely to be) present for six months or longer.  

  1. Autism Management Plan

Once a diagnosis of Autism has been made, your Paediatrician or Psychiatrist is able to write a referral for this plan.  A Medicare rebate is available for children aged under 13 for up to four (4) assessment sessions and for children aged under 15 for up to twenty (20) therapy sessions. You will need to be referred to Motivate Kids by the appropriate Health Professional. The referral will often be in the form of a letter. 


Please bring a copy of any of the aforementioned plans to your initial assessment if your child has been provided one by the appropriate referrer.
