Motivate Kids recognise that each one of us was drawn to the helping profession for one reason or another. We are compassionate individuals who love to grow, play and connect. We’d love to meet you and support you in the next step of your career.

How is Motivate Kids different?

We understand that where you work forms a significant part of your life so we have thoughtfully created spaces that you can be just as excited about as our kids are. Our team culture offers opportunities to connect and a family to be a part of.

We are the culmination of each team member’s strengths, aspirations, and innovations and we believe we are better together. We work collaboratively to best meet the needs of our clients and support our therapists to continue their professional development with opportunities to enhance your repertoire of skills, therapy tools and growth for your career development.

Professional Development and Learning Contracts

Motivate Kids provide a group and individual annual professional development budget to help our therapists achieve their CPD requirements and support their passion areas to flourish. This also ensures our families are receiving the highest quality service and care. We offer learning contracts in advanced certifications of choice such as  Ayres Sensory Integration to Sensory Attachment Intervention and more.

Administrative Support and Tools

The Motivate Kids Office Team provides full administrative support to all therapists, including billing, scheduling, and comprehensive family communication. This ensures our OT’s can spend their time on clinical work with the clients and families. Motivate Kids also invest in a range of program to enhance workplace efficiencies to make even SOAP notes a breeze.

Culture and Team

This isn’t something that can be described in words, it is felt when you walk through our doors. We recognise that we have a responsibility to serve our community and support families in the best way we know how. This means the importance of our working environment and our connection as a team is imperative. We have monthly catch ups and are always looking for the next new thing to try as a team! From the Adelaide Oval Climb, Ayres House Christmas, Dinner in the Dark… Whats next!

Provision of laptops and iPads for staff

We pride ourselves on ensuring our team have all the tools they need. From MacBook laptops, to iPads, GoPro’s to the Interactive Metronome. We are open minded to embrace technology where we can.

Ergonomically designed furniture and the latest resources

As OT’s we know the importance of setting up a functional work station. From height adjustable desks, seating options and ergonomic alternatives – we want to care for the mind and body of our team at Motivate Kids. All Motivate Kids studios are fully stocked with resources, swings, games, books, and assessments – never buy your own resources again!

State of the art environment

We have been guided by psychology design principles that reflect the latest clinical research to create a space that promotes optimal wellbeing. Through the architecture, colours, materials, artwork and lighting, no stone has been left unturned. There are spaces that calm the nervous system, others that support attention and focus.

Caseload variety and projects

Our therapists support children from birth through to their early twenties. We utilise innovative, neurodiversity-affirming and evidenced-based approaches to support children to build on their strengths and bridge the gaps in their development. This offers diversity within the caseload from diagnosis, assessment, and therapy intervention planning. The tailored therapy pathways allow therapists to complete off-site visits to gain a holistic view of supporting each child’s needs. We offer a range of project streams to meet therapist interest areas and opportunities to further develop their craft and meet the needs of our families.

Career Progression pathways

Motivate Kids offer Internships for graduating therapists to kick start their career within paediatrics. Interns then move into our Graduate Program once registered with AHPRA which offers tailored supervision and learning opportunities to meet each therapist’s learning style. Career goals are set annually and reflected upon within mentoring sessions to ensure optimal growth and development. Our Senior Therapists lead a variety of pathways such as Functional Capacity Assessments, Emali Partnership, School Visit Assessments, Group Work and much more.

Clinical Framework

Our Clinical Framework is a tailored system to support Occupational Therapists to enhance and develop their clinical competencies and ties into our overall learning and development approach, Clinical Supervision Framework and succession planning at Motivate kids.
