Your first year as an OT is a big one.
It’s where everything you’ve learned begins to come together in practice. Where you start discovering your strengths, building your clinical reasoning and finding your own way of being a therapist.
And you shouldn’t have to figure it all out on your own.
Our Graduate Program gives you the structure, supervision and support to grow into practice with confidence. You’ll be surrounded by experienced therapists who remember what it was like to be starting out, with space to ask questions, learn, reflect and build your skills at a pace that supports you.
What your first year with us looks like.
A supported pathway from graduate to confident clinician.
We’ve intentionally designed our Graduate Program around what new therapists need in their first year: time to learn, people to learn from and opportunities to gradually build confidence through real clinical experience.
-
A caseload that grows with you
Begin with a graded and supported caseload that increases as your confidence, clinical reasoning and capability develop. -
Dedicated one-to-one supervision
Regular supervision with an experienced Motivate Kids therapist, supporting your clinical development as well as your professional and personal growth. -
Structured professional development
Dedicated learning opportunities aligned with your goals, interests and the skills you’re building in practice. -
Group supervision and shared learning
Learn alongside other therapists, talk through challenges, share ideas and benefit from the experience of the wider team. -
A team where questions are welcome
You won’t be expected to have all the answers. You’ll work alongside experienced OTs who are there to problem-solve, reflect and celebrate the wins with you. -
Exposure to a broad clinical toolkit
Build your knowledge across approaches including Ayres Sensory Integration, Relationship Based Approaches, SOS Feeding, Primitive Reflex Integration and more.
Become the therapist you want to be.
Your graduate year isn’t about knowing everything. It’s about building strong foundations, learning to trust your clinical reasoning and having the right people around you while you do.
We want you to finish your first year not simply with more experience, but with greater confidence in yourself as an OT, a deeper understanding of the kind of therapist you want to be, and excitement about where your career can take you.
