Funding & Rebates

Funding pathways to support your family.

Understanding your funding options shouldn’t feel complicated.

There are a number of ways families can access Occupational Therapy at Motivate Kids. Whether you’re using NDIS funding, claiming a Medicare or private health rebate, or paying privately, we’ll help you understand what applies to your family.

1. NDIS

   We work with NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed.

   Our team can also support families with Functional Capacity Assessments and other OT assessments and reports where these are required as part of the NDIS process.

   Please note: We do not currently support agency-managed NDIS participants.

2. MEDI CARE

   Medicare

   Medicare rebates may be available for Occupational Therapy when your child has an eligible referral from their GP or specialist.

   GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP)
   Eligible children may be able to access Medicare rebates for up to five allied health services per calendar year.

   Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorder referral (M10)
   Medicare rebates may also be available for eligible assessment and treatment services for children with autism, intellectual disability or other eligible neurodevelopmental conditions.

   Speak with your GP or specialist about whether either pathway may be appropriate for your child.

3. PRIV HLTH

   Private Health Insurance

   Many private health insurance extras policies include Occupational Therapy.

   As rebates and annual limits vary between providers and policies, we recommend checking with your insurer before your first appointment to understand what you may be able to claim.

4. PRIV PAY

   Private Payment

   You don’t need funding or a referral to access Occupational Therapy at Motivate Kids.

   Families are welcome to access our services privately. Contact our team for current fees or to talk through which service may be right for your child.
