We work with children from infancy through to early adulthood, with or without a formal diagnosis.
Some children come to us with an identified diagnosis or developmental difference. Others come because something in everyday life is feeling difficult, or because their family would simply like to understand them better.
You don’t need a label to begin. We start by getting to know your child, their strengths, what they’re finding difficult and what matters to them and your family.
You might be wondering if OT could help.
Sometimes there’s a diagnosis. Sometimes there isn’t. Often, families simply notice that certain parts of everyday life seem to take more effort for their child.
You might be noticing things like:
- big reactions to noise, clothing, food or busy environments
- difficulty settling, regulating or moving between activities
- challenges with handwriting, drawing or other fine motor tasks
- coordination, balance or keeping up physically
- difficulty with dressing, toileting, eating or other everyday routines
- challenges with attention, organisation or getting started
- finding friendships, play or social situations difficult
- anxiety or avoidance around particular activities
- needing more support to participate at home, school or in the community
You don’t need to know why yet. That’s something we can explore together.
Not sure where to start?
You don’t need to know whether your child needs OT, an assessment or something else before getting in touch.
Tell us a little about your child, what you’ve been noticing and what you’d like support with, and we’ll help you work out the next step.
